TRADE CERTIFICATION
What is Trade Certification?
The VACC Trade Certification is a pathway to have your trade experience, skills and commitment assessed and formally recognised via a nationally accredited qualification in your automotive trade.
Who is it for?
The Trade Certification Program is open to motor mechanics, panel beaters, spray painters and automotive electricians who have developed their trade skills and knowledge for more than 7 adult* years in the automotive industry.
Why you should enrol?
- Gain the competitive advantage
Trade recognition makes you stand out from the rest and positions you as an automotive industry professional consumers can trust. Using your trade qualification in your marketing materials may help attract business.
The more qualified you are, the greater the potential to do a better job and impart more trade specific knowledge to apprentices. The more qualified they are, the more interested they are in the finished product.
- Prepare yourself for the future
With a formal qualification you can create long term career opportunities leading to more stable work, improved job security and greater diversification of tasks.
- Ensure quality, competence and experience
Getting your skills recognised means ensuring quality and maintaining standards within the automotive industry. A trade qualification brings advantages to quality through pride in work, competence through currency of knowledge and experience that will be passed on to future workers in the industry.
Fee for service
The standard fee for an individual assessment is $950. Where purchase of learning resources and regional/interstate assessor travel is required, additional costs will be applicable.
