Course Outline
On board diagnostics are an integral part of all modern vehicles, both petrol and diesel.
This course will deliver an understanding of communication networks used in vehicle multiplexing and diagnostics such as CAN, ISO and SAE, both operation and testing.
We provide a detailed study of OBD/OBDII and look at the information that is essential to maximise the effective use of scan tools (KTS and others) for improved fault diagnosis.
Learning Outcomes
This course will provide valuable information, including an understanding of the underpinning communication networks (eg CAN) leading to a more efficient use of OBD scan tools.
