Course Outline
Whether it be Diesel, Gas or Petrol, an engine’s mixture preparation, composition and combustion efficiency depends on a multitude of conditions, influences and functions that are all reflected in an engine’s exhaust gas emissions.
This course provides and in-depth look at the combustion process, its by-products, emission control systems and government standards.
Emphasis will be placed on the operating principles and the effective use of gas analysers, meters, ESA software and the correct interpretation of gas readings and their value in vehicle diagnostics.
Learning Outcomes
Participans will leave with an understanding of an engine's exhaust gas composition, it's analysis and how this knowledge provides additional support when fault finding.
