The Australian Government will invest $20 million over two years to assist workers aged 50 years and over to gain formal recognition of their current competencies and receive training to fill any knowledge or skills gaps so that they can obtain a nationally recognised qualification at the Certificate III to Advanced Diploma level.

All AUR12 qualifications have been approved by industry and are currently going through the endorsement process. The auto body sector, new look qualifications, have been structured to reflect current job role requirements and now offer career paths for individuals.

The My Skills website provides information and data that allows its users to consider which training provider best meets their needs and circumstances. The next phase of My Skills is planned for late 2012-early 2013, which will contain localised registered training organisation (RTO) information.
