VACC has secured Government Funding to deliver two accredited "Skills Sets" under the National Workforce Development Fund. These courses are discounted by up to 67% (for a business with less than 100 employees) and have strictly limited numbers.


Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) safety, inspection and servicing - 60 places available. This is an accredited course designed specifically for mechanical repairers wanting to perform servicing, ancillary work or repairs on hybrids and EVs. Under this funding, the course cost for businesses with less than 100 employees will be $660 ($330 payable on enrolment and the balance due when booked into the training day). After 31 March 2012, the course cost will be $2000.

1Day Annual Refresher for Health and Safety Representatives

The OHS Act 2004 makes provisions for HSRs to attend a one day refresher course of their choice once in each year. This course is approved by WorkSafe under the OHS Act and will provide participants with the opportunity to update their knowledge.


Initial Level 5Day Course for HSRs, Managers and Supervisors

Approved by WorkSafe Victoria under the OHS Act 2004 this course provides an intitial level of training for HSRs. The course also provides suitable level of training for Managers and Supervisors who may be appointed to represent the employer on health and safety issues.
