VACC SECURES FUNDING FOR MEMBER TRAINING!

 

VACC has successfully secured funding for its members under the National Workforce Development Fund to support training and take part in the following courses:

·         Course in HEV and BEV - Safety, Inspection and Servicing

This course is made up of two skills sets recently developed by the ASA.

·         Certificate IV in Vehicle Loss Assessor

This course is a new qualification recently developed by ASA for individuals working as Loss Assessor within the Automotive Insurance Industry

·         Coaching and mentoring the automotive apprentice

This course is made up of an existing skill set for the TAE training package and will assist workplace supervisors and or business owners manage the workplace training and assessment of their apprentices that is now under the Competency Based Progression System.

Initial Level 5Day Course for HSRs, Managers and Supervisors

8, 15, 22, 29 March and 5 April 2012

Approved by WorkSafe Victoria under the OHS Act 2004 this course provides an intitial level of training for HSRs. The course also provides suitable level of training for Managers and Supervisors who may be appointed to represent the employer on health and safety issues.

 

1Day Annual Refresher for Health and Safety Representatives

27 March 2011

The OHS Act 2004 makes provisions for HSRs to attend a one day refresher course of their choice once in each year. This course is approved by WorkSafe under the OHS Act and will provide participants with the opportunity to update their knowledge.

 

Apply First Aid

This course delivers the fundamental principles, knowledge and skills to provide emergency care for injuries and illnesses in the home or the workplace. Current industry standard is for this course to be updated every 3 years with the CPR component being updated every 12 months.

 

Cardio Pulmonary Resucitation

Dates available at www.redcross.org.au

This course is designed to teach you the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain breathing and circulation in an adult, child or infant following cardiac arrest. Content is based on Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines. Current industry standard is for this course to be updated every 12 months.

 

Environmental Compliance

Online

This online course aims to equip participants with the skills to develop an environment management plan for their business.
