The former VACC College established solid relationships with a number of quality training providers in both regional and metropolitan areas throughout Victoria. The College also forged strong bonds with government bodies and professional associations, which has enabled us to provide VACC members with up-to-date information on new training initiatives.
Recently the demand for training in all sectors of the automotive industry has multiplied. The attainment of skills has become crucial to everybody in the industry, from new entrants, to existing workers, as well as to business owners who require new skills to cope with the changing demands of our industry.
In response, VACC has taken steps to redefine some of its services, ensuring that education and training is given top priority. The business-focused training programs the VACC Skills Development Centre (VSDC) provides are specifically designed to

suit the needs of small and medium businesses – and their key personnel in the retail automotive industry – who wish to invest in their business or career.
The VSDC has worked in conjunction with training providers to adapt the programs to ensure that they are relevant to current industry issues and that they are specific to the automotive industry. Training provided by the VSDC is user-focused and relates to real world situations.
Skills gained through the programs offered can be applied immediately to the workplace, are relevant to individual circumstances and provide great levels of individual satisfaction. Our courses can be tailored to match the special requirements of any business which means they are appropriate for everybody. Skill development is the key to success for any business and at the VACC Skills Development Centre, we aim to provide our members with the skills to become and remain successful.
